Siemens Wind Power provides the wind turbines and builds the Westermeerwind Wind Farm on the basis of a turn key contract.

Planning 2012-2013: Construction of maritime safety measure (stone dam)
2013: Construction of switching station by TenneT at Westermeer dike
2013-2014: Installation of onshore cabling
May 2015: Construction and installation of onshore transformer station completed
May 2015: Foundation piles installed
July 2015: Installation and protection of farm cabling completed
Sept 2015: Start installation of tower sections, turbines and rotors
Required staff During the peak period of construction, approx. 300 employees are deployed. During the operational phase, 30 technicians and professionals are deployed, mainly from the region.
