Transport and installation of rotors

The placement of the rotors is done last. The loose rotor blades from Denmark are first transported from Amsterdam to Oude Zeug near Medemblik. Here, they are assembled into star-shaped rotors. Subsequently, the rotors, with a diameter of over 100 meters, are transported horizontally across the IJsselmeer per ship. At the construction site, the crane hoists the complete rotor from the ship, after which the rotor is mounted to the nacelle in its entirety.
